In the coming year some of their grandchildren will graduate from high school.
He was also involved with the welfare department of his business' union, with Danbury Hospital and the United Jewish Center, and years ago was associate director of the Fairfield County Trust. And with their kids now grown and raising their own children, more family celebrations have been added to the calendar.
And there are quite a few members of the Marcus family in the area, too. Although Pearl is retired from the Dairy Bar, Jack can be found there on a daily basis for the half year the couple are in Danbury.
Most days he'll see regular customers and residents he knows from the time he and Pearl have spent in various charitable endeavors. It was fun to peek inside and see if the milkman had brought our order yet. All these Marcus memories might not have come to be were it not for a fateful blind date in Pearl and Jack, 93, discovered on their first date that they shared the same birthday, Oct.
